Happy Holidays!
This year we certified over 150 companies, totalling to over 1200 companies and over 14 million tonnes of wood pellets certified! With the increase in popularity of the ENplus® certification it is more important than ever to protect the value of the ENplus® seal. Fortunately, we actively fight fraud every day and have nearly solved 800 cases and blacklisted 157 companies! Check out our statistics page for more numbers on ENplus® expansion and download the sample of the pellet report from Bioenergy Europe for general numbers on the pellet sector.
We increased our efforts these past 12 months to support ENplus® certified companies by focusing much of our communication towards pellet consumers. We have been promoting our consumer web pages in various languages, including Bulgarian, and created several new videos to ensure that the end-user understands the importance of the ENplus® quality seal. This is a considerable task and we have approached pellet appliance manufacturers and online trading platforms to help us spread the word about ENplus® pellet quality. Are you interested in partnering with us? Let us know!
Speaking of partners, back in February we started our ‘ENplus® interviews’, in which we interviewed people from our partner organizations to gain a better understanding of what they do, and how they view ENplus® and the overall pellet market. It was a year with many great interviews from various actors in the pellet sector, with our latest interview being Philipp Koskarti from BEA Institut für Bioenergie. In case you’ve missed any of the other interviews, you can find them here!
This year was a year of adapting to the pandemic, which unfortunately still creates uncertainty in some aspects of the certification scheme. However, we have once again started to plan physical trainings for quality managers for 2022. To keep up to date with these trainings you can follow us on LinkedIn or subscribe to our monthly newsletter. We will continue to refine and expand our e-learning platform to ensure that quality managers and those interested in ENplus® can continue to take the online course. It is currently available in English, French, Polish, and Portuguese. Our goal is to add Russian in 2022!
Those following us for quite some time may have heard about the ENplus® revision. After countless discussions and edits over a 3-year period, we are happy to let you know that the new documents will be published in the first half of in 2022. Everyone that will be affected by the new documentation will be contacted in a timely manner.
Thank you all for your trust in premium pellet quality and we will see you next year!
